A Hanau landmark with nearly four centuries of history.
A traditional four-star hotel in the heart of Hanau, part of the Trip Inn group. First built in 1625-26, destroyed in the last air raid on Hanau on 19 March 1945, and rebuilt by the Repp family in 1961-62. Famous guests of our predecessor house include Napoleon and Ludwig Emil Grimm — the younger brother of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, all three of whom were born in Hanau.
What defines the stay
Historic character
The house traces its roots to 1625-26, giving every stay a sense of place rather than a generic city-hotel feel.
Personal hosting
Reception is staffed around the clock, and the guest journey is shaped around direct, human service from booking to check-out.
Regional detail
Breakfast, bar service, and recommendations are grounded in Hanau and the wider Hessen region instead of generic chain standards.
Quiet comfort
The experience balances historic atmosphere with modern essentials such as wellness access, reliable Wi-Fi, and family-friendly room options.
Direct booking focus
Guests are encouraged to book directly so the hotel can keep the relationship, present clearer rates, and respond faster to requests.
Built to endure
After the historic building was destroyed on 19 March 1945, the property was rebuilt and continues to serve as a long-standing local address.
